Kaneen's public outreach efforts and assistance in developing communication strategies to keep the public informed was instrumental to the success of the Sun Link Tucson Streetcar project. Oftentimes, commitment to public outreach and community involvement gets lost in the project focus, but Kaneen staff were excellent in maintaining effective communication to the public as a top priority - a must on large scale and complex projects such as Sun Link.

The Kaneen Team, in collaboration with the project team, developed written outreach plans and tools that addressed all phases of this historic transit project from pre-construction open houses to vehicle testing and the opening day service launch. Over 10 years, Kaneen created traditional and digital marketing collateral, including a safety and public education campaign for bicyclists, motorists, and pedestrians; a standalone project website; and a social media presence through weekly eblasts, Twitter, and Facebook.
